Puerto Rico has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the very best strategic games out there, and it's one of my all-time favourites as well. Having almost no random or luck element, but a dazzling array of potential strategies and tactics, make this a game you can return to again and again. Each player develops their own board, but the effects of role selection - which determines what action everyone can do that round - provide more opportunities for player interaction than are evident at first glance. For those gamers that like a lot of meat on the bone, this is a must-have.
