This is a great game and the only game in my collection that I would give a 10 to.
What makes this such a great game, well let me give you an idea.
This is a big picture kind of game in which you control the sweep of advancement for your civilisation. You can development your military, economy, science advances, population, new territories, leadership and on and on.
But beware you are not doing this in isolation as you have to keep pace with your neighbours or you can be raided, end up in a culture war or even more devastating an all out war for supremacy.
There is alot going on but once you get the hang of the rules you will be in the an exiting ride through history. You will get to meet the greats- Caesar, Napoleon, Einstien, their all in the game.
The new reprint has addressed quality issues and is an excellent buy.
If you like games that are a bit complex but not overwhelming and can give you a real feel for the flow of history this is the definitive civ game for you.
Great with 2-4 players and a must for a well rounded game collection
