The players all compete to explore the galaxy by exploring new worlds and developing new technologies. Each turn each player chooses one action, but the others will share in the actions chosen. In the end, the player with the most points is the winner!
Hands down my favourite "Euro" card game. Essentially a retheming of San Juan (think Puerto Rico in card game format), Race for the Galaxy really exploits the sci-fi tropes until the game is totally redone. The card play and mechanics reqard strategic thinking with enough luck to keep things interesting. Even better with the first two expansions. Superb.

With wonderful artwork and a very in depth strategy focused on using the best combinations of cards to increase you victory points in a race to dominate the galaxy, this card game is a wonderful addition to the Eurogame genre. With many different possibilities on strategy and combinations that will get the avid CCG players loving it, this is a must for Euro, Strategy and CCG players. Although a little hard to grasp the rules to start, this game develops into a fast game that you'll want to play over and over.
